White Rhinos, Malayan Tapirs, Maasai Giraffes and free-roaming Peacocks are just a few of the animals you’ll see at The Ellen Trout Zoo. The zoo houses over 800 mammals, birds and reptiles from around the world.
The Ellen Trout Zoo was founded in 1967, and has been a destination in Lufkin ever since.
The Ellen Trout Zoo is located at 402 Zoo Circle in Lufkin.
Their yearly hours of operation are every day from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. with last admission at 4:30 p.m.
