When Madeline Tindall moved to Athens, Texas, she knew the one thing the city was missing: specialty soda.

So in February 2018 she opened Fizzy Swig and gave the residents the sip of happiness they didn’t know they needed.

The menu may look overwhelming to a first-timer. But once you break it down, it’s simple to read.

Choose your soda base: Dr. Pepper, Sprite, Fanta, Mountain Dew, Coke, or Pepsi. Then read through the options and choose which fizzy delight you’ll try. If you can’t decide, or want something else, you can choose your own flavor add-ins. But there’s one rule: don’t be afraid to try something new.

You can try anything from a Birthday Cake (sprite with cupcake, whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles) to a classic Shirley Temple (springs, cherry and a maraschino cherry) to a Dolly Parton (Rootbeer, cupcake, vanilla and cream) to everything in between.
