Here are some fun facts about Lee Mathis:
- Lee got his first guitar Christmas of 1993, an old Sears acoustic, and still has it
- Lee is a founding member of Lee Mathis & the Brutally Handsome. The ‘Brutally Handsome’ part of their name is a fererence to the Eagles song “Life in the Fast Lane.”
- Lee Mathis & the Brutally Handsome were awarded Song of the Year by the ETX Music Awards in 2018 for “Something About The Rain.”
- Lee Mathis & the Brutally Handsome won big at teh 2019 ETX Music Awards, walking away with 4 awards including: Country Band of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year and Bass Player of the Year (Jon Morrow.)
