BOSSIER CITY, La. (Ark-La-Tex Weekend) - Some great athletes are heading to Bossier City this summer.
First, the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) brings part of their 2022 women’s competition to town. Bossier City is the only city in the United States to host games. These take place from Tuesday, May 31, 2022 through Sunday, June 5, 2022. Teams from Germany, Brazil, Poland, Japan, South Korea, Dominican Republic and Canada as well as our own country. The United States is the three-time defending champions of the VNL. A total of sixteen matches are slated for the event. Come out to see some of the best volleyball players including members of the Olympic teams.
The schedule for the United States is as follows...
- Tuesday, May 31, 2022 vs. Dominican Republic at 8:00pm
- Friday, June 3, 2022 vs. Canada at 8:00pm
- Saturday, June 4, 2022 vs. Brazil at 8:00pm
- Sunday, June 5, 2022 vs. Japan at 5:00pm

Second, about a month after volleyball, it’s time for the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event! Six featured superstars are currently on the card: Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Riddle and Seth “Freakin” Rollins. The rumble starts at 7:30pm. This is the first time in four years that WWE has been in Northwest Louisiana. Pre-sale tickets occur on May 11, 2022 at 10:00am if you have the code. Regular ticket sales start on May 13, 2022.
