Take a trip around town with the Nacogdoches Summer Scavenger Hunt

Discover the amazing historic and cultural arts sites of Nacogdoches this summer by taking part in the Nacogdoches Summer Scavenger Hunt.

Starting Friday, June 3rd, participants can pick up printed scavenger hunt sheets at any of the participating locations. You will have one question to answer per site. Those who complete and turn in their scavenger hunt sheets by Friday, August 12th, will be entered into a prize drawing.

Participating locations include: The Sterne-Hoya House Museum and Library, the Durst-Taylor House & Gardens, the Nacogdoches Railroad Depot, the Nacogdoches Public Library, the Nacogdoches Visitor’s Center, the Cole Art Center, the Stone Fort Museum, Millard’s Crossing Historic Village and the Old University Building.

“Nacogdoches has so much to offer local citizens and traveling visitors,” said Veronica Amoe, Nacogdoches Historic Sites Manager. “The summer scavenger hunt is a great way to learn about each organization and perhaps discover a place you have never visited before. We are so grateful to all of the organizations for collaborating with the city for this event.”

Participants in the Nacogdoches Summer Scavenger Hunt are encouraged to share their experience by posting photos using the hashtag #nacsummerscavenger. More information about the summer scavenger hunt can be found at www.nactx.us, on the Nac Historic Sites Facebook page.
