Halloween Face Painting: Paint your own Pumpkin Mask

Halloween Face-Painting: Pumpkin Makeup artist Emily Gora shows us how to paint our face like we're a pumpkin with simple household makeup tools.

Just in time for the Halloween season, Makeup Artist Emily Gora came to the studio to give you ideas on ways to paint you, or your little ones, faces using cheap makeup you already have at home or could get from the drugstore, such as eye shadow.

In this video, you will learn how to create a “Pumpkin” (or Jack-o’-Lantern) face, that can be done in any color scheme you would like, just see our two variations that show how you can make them each distinct.

  • :34 - What tools will be used to kick off your face painting
  • 1:00 - The base layer of white to help the full pumpkin glow, starting with the nose
  • 2:09 - Paint on the mouth base layer
  • 2:46 - Finish the base layer with the eyes
  • 4:08 - Choose the color you wish to be and go over the white base layer
  • 6:26 - Fill in the inside of your eyes and mouth paint areas
  • 8:14 - Clean up around the edges and add white for highlights
  • 10:00 - Color the lips in
