Christmas Parades to help you ring in the holiday season

It’s that time of year when the floats are decorated, the roads are full, and Santa is spreading merriment through every town! Check out this list of East Texas Christmas Parades happening all over the area.

November 29th

Hallsville Christmas Parade

The parade will start around 6:30 PM.

Kilgore Christmas Parade

The parade will start at 6:30 PM.

The theme this year is “Happy Sesquicentennial Kilgore!” The city of Kilgore is turning 150 this year!

December 1st

Longview Christmas Parade

The 2022 Downtown Longview AMBUCS Christmas Parade will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

Rain out date is Tuesday, December 6. Join us in Downtown Longview for this annual tradition that includes marching bands, floats, and an appearance by Santa!

Tyler Christmas Parade

This event is organized and sponsored by the Rotary International Clubs of Tyler, kickoff is at 6:00 PM in downtown Tyler and is followed by the 34th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the T.B. Butler Fountain Plaza immediately after the parade.

Santa Claus will be taking photos immediately following the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Photos with Santa Claus will be limited to 30 minutes following the ceremony.

Henderson Christmas Parade

The lighting of the tree will be at 6:00PM in Heritage Square 101 E. Main St. The parade will begin shortly thereafter.

Jacksonville Christmas Parade

The parade will begin at 6:00 PM.

December 2nd

Sulphur Springs Christmas Parade

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and time for the 16th annual Lions Club Lighted Christmas Parade, presented by Carriage House Manor!

Join us Friday, December 2 at 7:00 PM for a Christmas experience for the entire family.

December 3rd

Atlanta Christmas Parade

Grab your leg lamp, Grinch costume, or Uncle Eddie bathrobe… it’s time for the 2022 Atlanta Area Christmas Parade! This year’s theme is “Christmas Movies”, and it is sure to be an entertaining show. So, choose your favorite holiday cinematic masterpiece and get creative with your float design!

Participants may enter their float into the parade and contest for FREE. Our float contest includes a Commercial Division & Non-Commercial Division. Contact us at 903-796-3296 for sign-up information!

Please note, due to previous issues and safety concerns, ATVs and UTVs will NOT be allowed in the parade lineup. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing all the amazing floats!

The parade will be from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM.

Arp Christmas Parade

The parade will begin near 6:00 PM.

Get your float, car, truck, horses, bus or whatever it is you have, decorated up and entertain the community. Trophy for Best Float will be presented to the most creative and festive participant!

Athens Christmas Parade

The parade will begin at 6:30 PM.

The theme of the 2022 Athens Christmas Parade is “A Fairy Tale Christmas.” All entrants are encouraged to decorate a float with the theme as much as possible. Parade entries will be judged on creativity, incorporation of the current theme, and overall appearance. This year’s Parade Grand Marshal is TVCC President Dr. Jerry King.

“We are excited to see what sort of magic our parade entrants can conjure with this year’s ‘Fairy Tale Christmas’ theme,” said Mayor Toni Garrard Clay. “Each year, the parade gets bigger and better and we can’t wait for this year’s parade.”

Bullard Christmas Parade

The Annual Christmas Parade is BACK and will lead up to the Movie on Main event located on the greenbelt in front of City Hall.

The parade will begin around 5:45 PM.

Center Christmas Parade

Santa’s Christmas Parade which will be held on Saturday, December 3rd beginning at 6:00pm. The Parade is presented by High Roller Wells. The theme for this year’s parade is “Christmas Around the World.”

The parade will start around 6:00 PM.

Diboll Christmas Parade

At dark we have a community event planned the entire family will love at Old Orchard Park.

Gilmer Christmas Parade

The parade will begin at 6:00 PM for all spectators to enjoy! It will follow the same route as the Yamboree Parades, beginning on Titus street.

Huntington Christmas Parade

The parade will start at 9:00 AM.

The parade will follow the traditional route. Line-up will be on Mulberry St. behind Huntington Middle School. We’ll take Main St. to Ash St., past the nursing home, down 6th St., ending back on Mulberry St.

Lindale Christmas Parade

Annual Lindale Rotary Club Christmas Parade down Main Street. Parade will being at the EJ Moss Parking Lot, turn onto Main Street, and end at South Street.

The parade will kick off around 5:30 PM.

Marshall Christmas Parade

The parade will go from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM.

Get those costumes, fluff those bows, turn on the lights and enjoy one of the biggest events of the year in Historic Downtown Marshall!

Mineola Christmas Parade

The parade will start around 5:30 PM.

Join us for the Annual Christmas Parade of Lights in beautiful Downtown Mineola. The theme this year is “Christmas at the Movies”! Pick your favorite movie and let the Christmas décor flow!

Mount Pleasant Christmas Parade

Hosted by the Mount Pleasant Rotary Club on December 3 starting at 6:00 PM.

Nacogdoches Christmas Parade

The parade will begin at 6:30 PM.

Hands-on workshops to create your own ornaments and gifts with artists and craftspeople. Vendors, holiday joy and fun before the Lighted Christmas Parade. The Nine Flags Lighted Christmas Parade will end with a fireworks show!

Palestine Christmas Parade

Palestine’s only night time parade, the streets of Main Street are aglow with colorful lights, beautiful floats and smiles all around! The courthouse will be lit at 7:00 PM to start the Parade, the join Santa at the Rotary Park Gazebo at 400 W. Main St. to tell him what you would like for Christmas.

The parade starts at 7:00 PM.

Quitman Christmas Parade

The Vendor Fair will start at 12pm for all and the Christmas Parade will start at 5pm. The parade will begin at Quitman High School and make its way down Goode Street towards the downtown square. This year’s musical guest is the loved Don Woods Band. We are very excited to have you join us and hope to make this holiday season the best one yet!

Whitehouse Christmas Parade

This year’s parade theme is Sounds of Christmas. Each entry is encouraged to incorporate their favorite Christmas song into their decorations and sound is encouraged from all participants. Please do not include a live Santa in your entry. Santa will ride at the end of the parade.

The parade starts at 3:30 PM.

December 4th

Liberty City Christmas Parade

The parade will begin at the intersection of FM 1252 and Old Hwy 135 and will head south to Interstate 20. The Theme will be ‘My Favorite Christmas Character’.

The parade will start at 2:30 PM.

December 5th

Daingerfield Christmas Parade

We will have the annual parade, tree lighting, and caroling take place all around the park. To top it off, SANTA WILL BE THERE TOO! So bring your kids down to sit on Santa’s lap! Enjoy some hot chocolate and venture around Mrs Claus’ Kitchen for some yummy snacks! There will be food vendors set up to serve hot meals!

Lufkin Christmas Parade

Join us December 5th at 5:30 pm for our Annual Christmas Parade. Downtown Lufkin, First Street. Christmas time is getting close!

December 6th

Rusk Christmas Parade

The parade will start around 6:00 PM.

The Rusk Annual Christmas Parade is underway. Last year was a record breaking attended parade and clocked in at 30 minutes making it one of Rusk’s longest Christmas parade. This year’s parade theme is “Christ is Born”. We will have a contest, winners will be selected in three categories:

Best Decorated | Most Lit Award | Best Themed

December 8th

Winnsboro Christmas Parade

The parade will kick off at 6:00 PM.

This year’s theme is ‘A Parade of Trees’!

December 10th

Big Sandy Christmas Parade

The parade will kick off around 5:00 PM.

Annual Christmas Decorating Contest & Parade.

Canton Christmas Parade

The parade will go from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM.

Canton Texas Chamber of Commerce and Canton Main Street are teaming up to bring you The Annual Chamber Christmas Parade and Snow Day Festival. The parade is estimated to last about an hour and will showcase a wide variety of festive floats. Stop by Santa’s Village before and after the parade where you can visit Santa, take photos in a Giant Snow Globe, grab a bite to eat from the food vendors and let the kids have a blast with bounce houses, games and snow. Don’t miss our on this fun and FREE event in Downtown Canton.

December 13th

Gladewater Christmas Parade

The parade will kick off around 6:00 PM.

This year’s theme will be ‘The Magic of Christmas on Main’.
