Gobble Wobble 2022

This is a 1 Mile Fun Run, 5k and 10k to support the efforts of Newgate Mission.
The 18th Annual Gobble Wobble is swiftly approaching! This is the biggest fundraiser of the year for Newgate Mission, and helps us to provide food, clothing, spiritual and social support throughout the year. We hope you will participate as a sponsor and/or in the race!
This is a Fun Run and is perfect for groups such as your family, friends, neighbors, and Sunday School groups. Feel free to dress up and have fun!

There is no registration fee, however, donations are gladly accepted. Financial gifts may be made through the registration page, or to avoid processing fees, we accept donations daily at Newgate, and at the event.

Pet Pictures with Santa

Whether your pet has been naughty or nice, bring them to our annual Pet Pictures with Santa Paws fundraiser for the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People. Santa will be at Peltier Subaru in Tyler Saturday, November 19th from 10-5 to have his picture taken with your pet.
For only $20, you will receive a beautiful 4X6 photo and a digital file of that photo.
All proceeds benefit the Humane Society’s Pets Fur People, the oldest no-kill animal sanctuary in East Texas celebrating 54 years of providing services to animals and people.
Artifact Identification Weekend

The Naranjo Museum of Natural History here in Lufkin, TX will be hosting an Artifact Identification Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, November 19th & 20th. Saturday will be 10 am-6 pm and Sunday 1 pm-6 pm.
During the weekend, visitors will be able to bring fossils, objects they have found, artifacts, arrowheads, and other historical items to be identified by expert Morris Weeks and Naranjo Museum founder, Dr. Neal Naranjo.
