Pine Tree ISD Presents Movie Night: The Sandlot

  • When: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Where: Pirate Stadium, Longview
  • Cost: Free

Pine Tree ISD Presents Movie Night. This free event will feature the showing of The Sandlot. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with the movie starting at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will view the movie from their cars. FREE hot dogs, hot chocolate and popcorn. Students must be accompanied by an adult - no drop offs!

Pink Martini

Eight-Hands Piano Recital

  • When: 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Where: Cole Concert Hall, Nacogdoches

Guest artist Dr. Kyung-A Yoo, associate professor of collaborative piano at Mercer University, will join piano faculty members at Stephen F. Austin State University to present “Eight-Hands Piano Concert” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, in Cole Concert Hall on the SFA campus.

SFA piano professors Drs. Ronald Petti, Mario Ajero and Minhae Lee will collaborate with Yoo to perform “Danse Macabre” by Camille Saint-Saëns; Souvernirs, Op. 28 by Samuel Barber; Four Piece Suite by Richard Rodney Bennett; Fantasy on the Themes from Georges Bizet’s “Carmen”; and “Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philip Sousa.

Magen King

  • When: 8:00 PM
  • Where: The Understudy, Tyler

We are proud to present the comic stylings of Magen King. She has taken a break from traveling the country to perform at The Understudy January 20th and 21st. We will be featuring Barry Whitewater on the 20th and Angela Owen on the 21st.

SATURDAY, 1/21

Cars & Coffee

Kid Fish

  • When: 9:00 AM - Noon
  • Where: 4800 Pearl St, Nacogdoches
  • Cost: Free

Annual fishing tournament for children 1-16 (children must be accompanied by an adult). Bring your own fishing gear. Prizes! Awards at noon. FREE!

Faire of Champions - Fantasy & Folklore

Will our quest this week send you in search of dragons, goblins, fae, or leprechauns, gnomes, griffins, or a unicorn? Join us on this magical weekend and enjoy the fantasy garb, the magical happenings, and feast with mythical creatures. Faire of Champions’ Fairy Queen, Ai’ne Caileigh, will be attending the Faire with her court.

Arbor Day 2023

  • Where: Fun Forest Park, Tyler

The Tyler Trees Committee and the City of Tyler Urban Forestry Division will host a tree planting event to celebrate Arbor Day on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Fun Forest Park.

Those interested in volunteering can go to https://bit.ly/TylerArborDay23. It is encouraged for participants to show up early at each location to check-in at registration where each person will receive a t-shirt, meal ticket and chance to win a giveaway from sponsors of the event.

Lunar New Year Festival
