Enjoy a romantic dinner under the stars

TJC’s Earth & Space Science Center presents “Love Under the Stars”

For a romantic evening underneath the night sky, plus dinner for two, look no further than “Love Under the Stars” at the Tyler Junior College’s Earth and Space Science Center featuring Hudnall Planetarium and there are two nights available to enjoy this experience!

“This year’s dome show will feature love stories about the constellations and the mythology behind them,” said Dr. Beau Hartweg, TJC science center director.

Hartweg said the program under the 40-foot dome will also include a look at the constellations visible in the night sky and a virtual tour through the solar system and beyond, to visit places in the universe that were inspired by love.

Tickets are $95 per couple, ages 21 and up only. Admission includes: dinner for two prepared by the TJC Culinary Arts program; beverages; full-dome planetarium show; an outdoor, telescopic viewing (weather permitting); a gift basket; and a commemorative photo. “Love Under the Stars” will be from 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM on Friday & Saturday, February 10th and 11th.

“This is a very popular event that sells out each year, so we recommend getting those tickets soon,” Hartweg added.

Advance online registration is required, and couples need to purchase only one ticket. To get your tickets, or learn more information, you can click here to visit their website.

The science center is located at 1411 E. Lake St., on the TJC main campus. Parking is free.
