Keeping the small town life thriving, Hardware on the Square is providing not only much needed goods for their community, but also some sweat treats for locals and travelers alike!
While the store as a whole has been in San Augustine since back in the 1800s, Hardware on the Square came to be in 2014 when Joe & Buster Consford, along with their wives Laura & Ginger, bought the hardware business and continued to expand what services they could provide to their small town over the years.
It may sound strange, though it truly adds to the small town energy, inside Hardware on the Square, they’ve build an artisan coffee shop for customers to relax in! For an extra ‘sign’ that this was the perfect idea, when they were tearing down some of the shelves & pegboard that covered the wall that would become part of the coffee shop, a section of stucco fell off the brick revealing the word “delicious”!
Regardless of your needs, this is a wonderful place to swing by and really enjoy the small town life and be surrounded by history.
