1. Sleepless in Seattle

The most romantic movie to watch this year, featuring Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan, where a recently widowed man’s son calls a radio talk-show in an attempt to find his father a partner.

2. Dirty Dancing

Nobody puts baby in the corner! Spending the summer at a Catskills resort with her family, Frances “Baby” Houseman (Jennifer Grey) falls in love with the camp’s dance instructor, Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze). It’s a classic coming-of-age tale of dance and romance with a killer soundtrack.

3. The Notebook

Mix one part unrequited love story with a dash of Ryan Gosling and top it with some crying in the rain from Rachel McAdams you’ve got a recipe for tearjerker gold! Adapted from the novel by Nicholas Sparks and brought to the big screen in 2004 by director Nick Cassavetes.

4. You’ve Got Mail

Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan back in the Top 5 again in this romantic story where a book superstore magnate Joe Fox (Hanks) and independent book shop owner Kathleen Kelly (Ryan) fall in love in the anonymity of the Internet, both blissfully unaware that he’s trying to put her out of business.

5. Pretty Woman

Pretty Woman set the bar pretty high for 90′s romantic comedies and is easily one of Julia Roberts’ most iconic roles. It’s a classic rags-to-riches love story featuring Richard Gere who plays a businessman that needs an escort for some social events so he hires a beautiful prostitute, played by Julia Roberts, only to end up *spoilers* FALLING IN LOVE! Plus, this movie gave us one of the best songs of the early 90′s with ‘King of Wishful Thinking’ from Go West.
