Danceworks Coda

15th Annual Rose City Artisan & Flower Market

Kentucky Derby Dinner & Silent Auction

Tentatively themed “Spring Day at the Derby,” the event will feature a four-course dining experience inspired by traditional Kentucky Derby dishes. A cocktail reception, cash bar, and silent and live auctions will take place an hour prior to the meal.

The fundraiser benefits the School of Human Sciences through student scholarships, student travel funds to conferences and industry events, and faculty development programs.

This event is planned and run by students enrolled in the Special Events Production course.

This event is an interactive murder mystery, so you will be assigned a character and highly encouraged to dress up. Please put individual emails for all guests during the ticket ordering process to ensure that everyone receives separate emails about their character! The night will begin at 7pm with appetizers, and dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m. You are able to bring your own adult beverage to compliment the meal, however, we are not able to serve you those beverages. Nac Short Film Fest 2023

From 7-9 pm we will screen the short films selected.

9 - 9:30 pm, there is a Q&A with the short film filmmakers.

Little Texas

In the early ‘90s, as a new brand of country music was commanding the airwaves, there was a First Time for Everything. With its debut album, Little Texas burst onto the scene with songs written, recorded, and performed exclusively by the members themselves, quickly becoming one of the top vocal bands of the decade.

Nac @ Night is back and re-vamped! The new ongoing event will be an outdoor family-friendly movie experience on the brick streets downtown behind the Charles Bright Visitor Center.

The FREE event will focus on showing family-friendly movies through the Spring and Summer.

Local businesses like White Farmhouse Baking Co, Susu’s Popcorn and Mama Rose Italian Ice will be set up to provide snacks for purchase!

Crawfish Boil

The program will consist of candle lighting, prayers, songs, and a special presentation by the son of two survivors, Nico Van Thyn.

Nico was born in Amsterdam and came to the U.S. in 1956. He grew up in Shreveport and was a sports writer/editor/copy-editor for over 45 years. He authored a book about his parents, “Survivors: 62511, 70726: Two Holocaust Stories.”

The event is free and open to the community.
