Yes, that’s right...this will be the last Diva Du. If you know us, you know we are all about the party, and we intend to close this chapter out with a party like no other! For those that choose to join us for this event, we will be throwing in some special swag to mark the end of an era. The Sprint duathlon (1.5 mile run, 6ish mile bike, and 1.5 mile run) will be all on trail and can be tackled in the individual or relay format. *Please note, due to the trail conditions, we have reduced the ride mileage down from our usual 10ish to about 6.5 miles. We will be keeping it clean with an all on pavement 5K or 10K run for those who want to join the fun without a bike involved. Whether or not you choose the dirt, the afterparty will be the same and full of fun!

Spring Showdown 5K/10K/15K

This free family-friendly event will feature food, music, games and more! It’s a festival to celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and will include activities and entertainment for all ages. Petals & Paws Spring Fling

The Electric Guitar Ensemble at Stephen F. Austin State University will present the concert “Baroque and Blue” at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, in the Music Recital Hall on the SFA campus.

Directed by Larry Greer, adjunct faculty guitar instructor, the student ensemble will perform works by Johann Pachelbel, Johan Roman, Duke Ellington, Kenny Dorham, Antonio Carlos Jobim and others. The concert will be live streamed.

SFA School of Music presents Mozart’s Mass in C Minor

The combined choirs and orchestra of Stephen F. Austin State University will present W.A. Mozart’s Great Mass in C minor when the student ensembles perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at First Baptist Church, Nacogdoches.

Performing are the SFA A Cappella Choir, directed by Dr. Michael Murphy, director of choral activities at SFA, and Kantorei and Singin’ Axes, directed by Dr. Tod Fish, associate director of choral activities, along with a student orchestra. Works by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Wolfram Buchenberg and William L. Dawson will also be performed.

Needy Angels Handicap Van Fundraiser
