The 39th Annual Tomato Fest in downtown Jacksonville is set to take place on Saturday, June 10th, from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. With over 300 vendors, a Farmers Market, Tomato Eating Contest, $500 Got Talent Contest, Car Show, Soccer Tournament, Kids Zone, and much more, the festival promises to be a fun-filled day for all!
Following the festival will be the Chili’s Street Dance, from 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM, featuring Jerrett Zoch, 6 Miles to Mixon, Lauren Alexander, and Paul Shafer.
The festival will be held across 5 blocks and will offer a wide range of activities for visitors to enjoy. Some of the highlights of the festival include the Christus Mother Frances Hospital Jacksonville booth, Kidz Zone, Tomato Eating Contest, Best Home-Grown Contest & Salsa Contest Awards, Tomato Peeling Contest, Tomato Packing Contest, $325 Youth Talent Contest (under 12), Tomato Fest souvenirs, and the $500 Got Talent Contest. These events will all be held under the overpass.
Most importantly, this event is all FREE! Free admission, free parking, free gospel concert and free entertainment.
For soccer enthusiasts, the festival offers the Jacksonville Soccer Association Tournament, which will be held inside the Famous Tomato Bowl beginning Friday night, June 9th, and all-day Saturday during the festival.
