No matter what the season is in East Texas, from the hot summer sun to the winter chills, there’s one place to go to enjoy some time in the water! Since 2008, an indoor waterpark has been just a quick drive away.
The Waterpark at The Villages features something for the whole family, with a lazy river, wave pool, multiple slides (you’ll notice one that even takes you past the wall and back inside again!), and so much to climb and make a splash in!
“Our rooftop opens, and we have giant fans, so it keeps the area cool, and our water and air temperature is controlled, it is always between 82 and 84 degrees,” said Kelly Allison, Senior Guest Engagement Manger. “In the winter months, you don’t feel like it’s cold outside. Our waterpark is open year-round.”
You don’t have to be a guest of the resort to use the waterpark, day passes are available with group rates also available for larger groups or those who want to throw a party at the waterpark. There are 3 party rooms available within the building that you can rent to enjoy some cake time before it’s play time. During the off days, park buyouts are also an option, where you can your group have the entire waterpark to yourselves!
“My favorite thing about working here is all the fun and the smiles that you get to see on the families faces. It’s so much fun for all ages,” said Allison. “You don’t have to drive to Shreveport or Dallas, you have something just in your backyard...”
Lifejackets and tubes are available within the park, but you can only bring U.S. Coast Guard-approved lifejackets, no outside floats or tubes. Towels are available to purchase if you forget to bring enough for the whole group when you visit.
You can enjoy a visit to the Waterpark at The Villages on Fridays from Noon - 10:00 PM or Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, & Sundays, from Noon - 8:00 PM.
