First 100 participants will receive a free T-shirt. Course will start in the CampV parking lot, and run through the green space and tree line at the back of the 20-acre CampV campus. Runners will tackle Heartbreak Hill and experience what a soldier might face in field training.

Easter Egg Hunt @ the Arboretum

Join us for an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30th at 10:00am. Parking will be in the Maude Cobb parking lot (enter at our West Gate!) Our Easter bunnies will be there to escort you through the gardens to the site of the egg hunt. This event is included with general admission to the gardens - $5 for ages 7 and up, with kids 6 and under free. Photo ops with the Easter Bunnies will be available! The egg hunt will be on the Nature Plaza next to the Nature Center building. No eggs permitted in the garden area please! It’s a BEAUTIFUL time of year to be at the Arboretum.

Furs & Skulls

Drop in at the Swim Beach to see the furs and skulls of some of the park’s native animals any time. See and touch furs, learn what an animal’s skull can tell us, and discover what animals are out and about at Lake Tawakoni.

2024 Easter Egg Hunt @ Calie’s Acre

When: 11am
Where: 10589 State Highway, Gilmer

We will have Egg hunts at 11 am and 2pm. There will be 3 different hunts each time. Newborn to 3 years old will hunt first then we will move to 4 to 6 years old and last move to 7 years old and up. Each egg hunt participant will get a goodie bag after the hunt is over by turning in the gathered eggs. This ensures each child will receive a bag even if they are shy or don’t gather any eggs!

Fishing with a Ranger

Where: Martin Creek Lake State Park, Tatum

Bring your kids out to fish with our rangers and volunteers at the fishing pier in the day use area. We will be available to help with removing fish and baiting hooks. All equipment and worm bait will be provided. We can show you the ropes if you’ve never fished before, or if you’re experienced you can borrow a rod and some worms and enjoy an afternoon of fishing. Event is free with paid entry to the Park. See you there!

Easter Egg Hunt @ The Boulders

It’s time for our Resurrection Sunday Family Fun Day 2024! Immediately following our egg hunts we will be meeting at the Rusk City Baseball Complex for Family Fun Day. At 1:00 we’ll be serving hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. We will also have the Daddy-D Concession Stand open, so be sure to bring some cash to grab some special treats. Then at 2:00 the Opening Ceremony will start for the Daddy-D Wiffle Ball Tournament. This is for everyone! On Field 1 we will have ages 11-99 and on Field 2 we will have ages 5-10. We will also have a Cornhole Tournament and a bounce house and slide for the kids. Bring your lawn chairs and come spend the day with us! You can sign-up for the Wiffle Ball Tournament at the Liai-Zone desk, or you can see Davy & Melissa Trawick FMI/questions. We can’t wait to see you there!
