Deep East Texas Annuals and Perennials Trial at SFA Gardens
- When: 9am-12pm
- Where: SFA Gardens, Nacogdoches
Join us for the first ever Deep East Texas Annuals and Perennials Trial (DETAPPT) field day at SFA Gardens on from 9 to 12pm July 11th at the new CARRI center located at 7308 U.S. Highway 59 N. The field day led by Dr. Andrew king will feature hundreds of ornamental plant varieties such as petunia, vinca and lantana. This event is open to growers, horticulturists and all of the public for viewing. Come and see and support SFA Gardens research!
Build Your Own Board Game

FRIDAY, 7/12
Morning Mindfulness Hike
- When: 8am-9am
- Where: Lake Tawakoni State Park, Wills Point
- Cost: Entry Fee
Escaping into nature is a wonderful way to calm our minds and soothe our souls. Join one of our park rangers as we take a morning walk through the woods and explore the arts of nature journaling, meditation, and mindfulness. This hike is best for teens and adults with a difficulty level of moderate and a distance of 0.5-1 miles that will take 45 minutes to complete.

Main Street Farmers Market

Legally Blonde: The Musical Jr.

Henderson County Performing Arts Center is excited to bring the hit musical “Legally Blonde: The Musical Jr” to the HCPAC Main Stage. Based on the smash hit motion picture and award-winning Broadway musical, “Legally Blonde: The Musical Jr” follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobs and scandals in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle’s boyfriend, Warner, dumps her for Harvard and a new girlfriend, Elle takes matters into her own hands. With the help of classmate Emmett and spunky hairdresser Paulette, Elle finds that books and looks aren’t mutually exclusive. The production features energetic dance numbers with an expandable cast of sorority sisters, law school students, hairdressers and more! “Legally Blonde: The Musical Jr.” is under the direction of Troy Martin.
