Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles

Friday Night Film - Killers of the Flower Moon

- Where: SFA School of Art, Nacogdoches
Join us at the Cole Art Center for a free public screening of the 2023 drama, Killers of the Flower Moon. Presented in partnership with the Nacogdoches Public Library and Humanities Texas as part of The Big Read. This 2023 drama is based on true events, focusing on the murders of Osage members and relations in the Osage Nation after oil was discovered on tribal land in the 1920s. Nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress at the Academy Awards. Friday Night Films are always free and open to the public. Films are sponsored by retired filmmaking professor William Arscott and the SFA Friends of the Visual Arts
The Lion in Winter

Love, hate, politics, threats, intrigue, inheritance, conspiracies, egos, and ambition. Spend Christmas 1183 with King Henry II, Eleanor of Aquitaine, their sons, the King of France, and his sister. Mark your calendars for Honor America Night: An evening of tradition and celebration as LISD Bands pay tribute to America and veterans. The Lufkin High School and Lufkin Middle School bands will honor veterans with musical and twirling performances, along with a fireworks finale. We hope to see you there!
Haunted Walking Tours of Mineola, TX

Find out what goes bump in the night, and whole bunch of history, in Mineola, TX! Every Saturday night at 8:30PM we meet in front of the Historic Select Theater at 114 N. Johnson (or across the street at Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe - 117 N. Johnson) and begin a two hour (sometimes longer) walking journey through the haunted streets and buildings of this historic town! Travel with a professional paranormal investigator! Use the equipment as seen on TV! Go inside some places and participate in experiments designed to communicate with the departed! It’s a tour and a hunt combined and it’s a heck of a fun way to spend a Saturday night! Tickets are $15 per person. Please, no children under 10yrs because it can get quite spooky. No inebriated customers please. We keep it family friendly!
