East Texas Jerky

There’s nothing more East Texan than Dr. Pepper and Beef Jerky.

At East Texas Jerky, in Edgewood, they are combining such flavors to make some of the best locally cooked snacks you’ve ever had.

During our brief visit, we got to try a few of their fan favorites. The limited edition Dr. Pepper Beef Jerky was just as good as it sounds. The sweetness of the Dr. Pepper flavor pairs so well with the savory jerky.

Their Dill Pickle Jerky, which was my favorite, offers a really good tang. While the Honey Jalapeno Jerky has a real spicy bite, but is resolved with a honey glaze.

If you are passing through on Hwy 80, be sure to stop in and shop from their giant wall of jerky. Which flavor will you choose to take home?
