The Nonprofit Knockout is a friendly competition where you decide the winner! Voting will take place throughout the month of March & April. Each week we will have multiple matchups where you vote for your favorite local nonprofits. You can vote once per week. One time on our website and one time through our The East Texas Weekend App.
The winner of the 2025 Nonprofit Knockout will be featured here on The East Texas Weekend as our Peltier Subaru Supports December highlight, receive a PSA from KLTV, and the winner will be included in Subaru’s Share The Love event.

For this contest, there a variety of requirements for each nominated East Texas Charity. We’ve included a few of these below:
ADVERTISEMENT
- Charity is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, if charity is not a government organization, or is otherwise a tax-exempt government organization as defined by federal tax laws and regulations.
- Charity affiliation is not political, religious, or polarizing, etc.
- The mission statement cannot mention God/Jesus/etc.
- Charity does not harm animals and is environmentally responsible.
- Charity financials are in good standing.
- Charity ensures donations are being used for the charitable mission itself, not for administration costs.
