Darrell Wolcott’s Castle
Hear ye, hear ye!
Does thee desire to gaze upon a truly one-of-a-kind destination?
Then travel to the outskirts of Jefferson to encounter a real-life castle!
For years, this location was known as the Center for the Study of Ancient Wales, a local research center that dives deep into historic Welsh culture and genealogy.
The mission was conducted by Darrell Wolcott, president and founder of this non-profit organization, prior to his passing in 2025. The inside is filed with bookcases full of historical accounts of varying topics concerning the nation of Wales, as well as many Welsh family crests including Darrell Wolcott’s!

While Darrell’s family is still deciding what to do with the castle, you are more than welcome to pull over and admire this truly special work of architecture.
*The inside footage was shot before Darrell’s passing. It was such a joy getting to know him and are so thankful for our visit here to the castle.
