Get ready for a one-of-a-kind cyber experience that you can only find in Downtown Athens!

The Freelancers Cafe is a culmination state-of-the-art gaming, delicious food and drinks, and an incredible community gathering spot for literally any occasion.

All these facets have made this destination into one of the most interactive and enjoyable atmospheres in East Texas.

GAMING GALORE

There’s nothing better than competing against your friends and family over some split-screen gaming action.

Well, how about doing it on a 16ft wide T.V.! Battle it out on this massive screen with a few exciting rounds of Mario Kart and NCAA College Football! (This thing makes for great watch parties too!)

The entirety of the cafe is filled to the brim with the hottest video game systems. Hop onto one of the many INTEL PCs that line the walls and experience what online gaming is like with the most up-to-date tech.

Near the back of the building, you will find two massive racing simulators! Take a seat behind the wheel and take off at record speeds as you get the closest taste of what driving a real racecar is really like. (These were extremely fun!)

Many of the dining booths here also include their very own, free to play, Xbox Series X for guests to enjoy while they dine.

Gaming & Pizza. Can you name a better match?

Well with this in mind, Freelancers Cafe’s most recent “freelancer” to join the cafe is Slice Pizza Co.!

This New York style pizzeria serves up hand-crafted pies with many mouthwatering flavors. We got to try The Hive. A bacon, pepperoni and Canadian bacon pizza dazzled with some hot honey!

Add some of their tasty garlic knots and Angry Bird wings and you’ll be fueled up for one of Freelancers Cafe’s many gaming tournaments! See which ones are coming up by visiting their Facebook.

ROBOTIC BARISTA

One feature you MUST try out when you visit is ordering a coffee from their very own coffee making robot!

You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into the future as you watch this cybernetic arm effortlessly brew you up a hot or cold beverage.

As it was making our iced latte, the robot would give us a friendly wave and even perform some hilarious dance moves.

This is the only robot like this in Texas, too!
