The Tyler Rose Garden is one of the most iconic destinations in all of East Texas.
Discover over 38,000 rose bushes across 14 wonderful botanical acres.
The title of “Rose Capital” has a powerful history to it. According to Smithsonian Gardens, “...in early 1900′s, roses were chosen by East Texas farmers because of Tyler’s desirable climate and soil conditions... by 1940′s, more than half of the US rose supply was grown within 10 miles of Tyler.”
As you stroll about this massive garden, you can experience firsthand why Tyler was given such a nickname. Rows and rows of roses of all shapes, patterns and colors.
