Rose City Art Gallery and Gifts
East Texas has a rich community, and history, of artists and art lovers.
In 1952, a local group of these creative minds founded the Palette of Roses Art League. A non-profit organization with the purpose of providing an assembly for area artists to interact, hone skills and contribute to the local artistic culture. In addition, the league supports folks looking to dive deeper into the arts with educational and scholarship opportunities.
Today, the Palette of Roses Art League is going strong with their very own gallery and gift shop that’s open to the public!
We recently popped in for a little visit. And wow! What a spectacular setting.
Every wall in the building is filled with magnificent pieces by extremely talented local artists. Water color paintings, super detailed drawings, breath-taking photographs and so much more!

Find a work of art that you just need to have? Chances are its for sale! The majority of the pieces here, along with a large selection of other items like their branded T-shirts (The most artsy, funniest shirt you can own. See video, above.), are all looking for a forever home.
