Commerce Skate Park

  • Open: Monday-Sunday
  • Lights: No
  • Where: Centennial Park, 333 E Sterling Hart Dr, Commerce

Tiny, but full of quality obstacles. This East Texas skate park has everything you need to progress fairly quickly. With a quarterpipe on each end, riders can easily transverse back and forth will making attempts on the ledges, rails and launch ramps.

Dodson Action Sports Complex

  • Open: Monday-Sunday
  • Lights: Yes
  • Where: 1400 N 10th St, Longview

Coming in as the only primarily wooden ramp skate park in the region, the Dodson Action Sports Complex offers huge ramps to catch so wild air on! With halfpipes and quarterpipes of varying size, this park is a great introduction to vert riding, especially for BMX lovers. Speaking of bikes, this park was co-created by X Games legend and East Texas native, Morgan Wade!

Edwards Park

Everything you need to have a blast! Multiple quarterpipes, plenty of things to grind and lots of room to get down the basics. A solid park for every level of rider!

Fair Park Skate Park

  • Open: Monday-Sunday
  • Lights: No
  • Where: 400 E Ragley St, Henderson

Henderson’s skate park is full of fun, challenging obstacles. Landing a trick here really means something. The defining features include the massively long down rail and the super wide concrete halfpipe. The pad at the entrance of the park is great for learning grinds and balancing manuels.

Faulkner Skate Park

  • Open: Monday-Sunday

  • Where: 410 W Cumberland Rd, Tyler

Faulkner is the combination of two professional skate park building companies. (SPA Skateparks and Evergreen Skateparks.) Together, they have a created an free-flowing park that offers a wide variety of obstacles. Catch some high flying speed of the many concrete bumps. Practice your grinds on the many ledges spread throughout the park. And best of all, with skate park’s circular shape allows you to keep going and going without missing a beat. An excellent park to learn the basics.

Gun Barrel Skate Park

  • Where: 41716 Municipal Dr, Gun Barrel City

This linear designed park has the feel and quality of many Dallas skate parks. With wide ramps on both ends, this parks allows you to flow back and forth with ease. Between each end, enjoy a wide variety of obstacles from plenty of rails and ledges to a exciting kicker ramp to kick ramp with a little gap in the middle.

Jake’s Skate Park

  • Where: 504 N Terry St, Malakoff

The most diverse skate park in East Texas. Participants can enjoy the high speed pump track, jump down the solid 4 stair gap and push themselves on many easy-to-learn obstacles. What makes this skate park truly special is the many replicas of famous skate spots from across America; including New York’s famous Flushing Meadows Park ledge and the icon Pier 7 pad. This park also serves as a memorial to Jacob Ronald Ward. The statue and plaque serve a reminder that there is hope despite the powerful influence of drugs and alcohol.

Kilgore Skate Park

  • Where: Cnr of E Kay St & Wood St, Kilgore

Metal and concrete. Here you will find various obstacles to learn the basics on, including a perfect mini-halfpipe. The parks offers interesting paths to ride, leading to some creativity to put down some cool tricks. But really, the “coolest” feature in the excellent shaded structures set in place. Making this a great summer park.

Kiwanis Skatepark

  • Where: 1406 Tulane Dr, Lufkin

Deep East Texas supports the action sports passion too! Enjoy the brightly painted concrete ramps of this super fun park. Ride up high on the vert wall or try some more technically maneuvers on the many rails, ledges and gaps!

Marshall Street Skatepark

  • Open: Monday-Sunday
  • Lights: No
  • Where: 511 W Marshall St, Gladewater

Just a part of the neighborhood. This local skate park is tucked in between two homes, on its very own lot. Here you can find a great mini halfpipe and spine ramp to learn on. Plus, one of the oldest functional skate ramps in the region! The park is owned and operated by the Marshall Street Skate Ministry, who regulars hosts events and bible studies in the park.

Nichols Green Park

  • Where: Park Entrance off of Andrews St, Jacksonville

This skate park has seen its fair share of transformations over the years. Today, all that is left is a halfpipe, a few rails and a grind box. BUT! These obstacles are the foundation of learning skateboarding, rollerblading, scootering, and so on. Where this park lacks in flash, it offers quality. Enjoy wide open space to push around on and great opportunities to learn the basics.

Paris Skate Park

  • Where: 101-199 W Austin St, Paris

Nestled in the heart of downtown Paris (not France), this skate park offers a variety of metal obstacles to ride and grind on. Try out the classic mini halfpipe, then give their small street section a go. Enjoy a couple of rails and an awesome launch ramp to catch some big air!

Paris Pump Track

  • Where: 2005 S Collegiate Dr, Paris

Although this is technically not a skate park, the Paris Pump Track is must visit! Fly at zooming speeds around various corners and transitions. Follow the paths or create your own routes on this massive asphalt track.

Skatetopia

  • Where: 201 Oak St, Texarkana

A totally custom concrete park! This park can help many riders get to the next level. Multiple down rails and the open bowl section are just calling for something gnarly. The park flows really well and the concrete is smoooooth!

St. Paul Community Skate Park

  • Open: Monday-Sunday
  • Lights: Yes
  • Where: 301 Walnut St, Mineola

This East Texas park got a major facelift recently by the efforts of Mineola local nonprofit organization, Flint & Steel. This youth, young adult focused group helped pave the way to brand new concrete ramps and other quality obstacles. Zoom on the snake run path. Gap down the unique stair set. And catch some air on their halfpipe setup.

Sulphur Springs TX Skate Park

  • Lights: Yes
  • Where: Buford Cir, Sulphur Springs

For one of the biggest skate parks in East Texas, the city of Sulphur Springs has created a fun gathering spot for skaters to shred, learn and enjoy community. Jump down the main street course, loaded up with ledge and handrails to grind down. The quarterpipe transitions are tight, but offer an interesting challenge for your regular tricks.

Van Skate Park

Action sports meets East Texas countryside. Don’t be surprised if you meet some horseback riders during your session. This quaint park offers lots of basic obstacles, such as a grind rail, ledges and a solid quarterpipe, allowing skaters to get the basics down quick! Practice some familiar tricks or learn some new ones at this easy-going park.
