“Deep in the heart of Texas,” you’ll find yourself a truly remarkable museum showcasing many country artists who helped shape the genre into what we know it as today.
The Texas Country Music Hall of Fame, in Carthage, TX, is home to a plethora of exhibits housing memorabilia and personal items of iconic Texas musicians.
Read and sing along to a hand-written copy of Willie Nelson’s famous “Hello Walls.” Admire some of Kenny Rogers stunning stage attire. AND SO MUCH MORE!
They even have a beautiful tribute to the late, great Buddy Holly, including a guitar of his and many plaques highlighting his remarkable story.
The interior of the museum gives off old school 50’s vibes with a totally functionable jukebox and flashy theater signage.

As you stroll towards the very back you will find a super impressive exhibit displaying the life and career of Tex Ritter. From Broadway and the Grand Ole Opry to a huge variety of television appearances, Tex quickly quickly rose to stardom with his influential charisma and sound.
Even if you are not a country music fan, you can’t help but to appreciate the sheer talent and impact contained in this wonderful style of music.
