Historical Aviation Memorial Museum
From world-shaping military history to the commonality of commercial airlines, all the way to the Moon Landing, this East Texas museum holds the stories and artifacts that highlight these great American triumphs.
Right off the bat, you will experience the sights and sounds of airplanes as the Historical Aviation Memorial Museum resides on an actual airport! Chances are, you witness numerous private and commuter jets landing and taking off during your visit.
As you enter the doors, behold a magnificent stockpile of areo-relics from a variety of aircraft. Admire lots of retro items like real Air Force bomber jackets, pieces of scrapped propellers and memorabilia from famous pilots like Amelia Earhart.
The majority of the museum focuses on the many wartime engagements that the U.S. military was involved in. Specifically, the many airplanes that were used during these conflicts. Walk through an impressive timeline of exhibits from the dropping of the atom bombs on Japan to the missions of Desert Storm.
One really unique display is their NASA themed area. Here you can take in all the wonders of space travel and even check out a real piece of moon rock!

The real treat of the museum is outside. With very frequent tours, your guide will take you to their full fleet of aircraft. Here you can get up close and personal with planes and helicopters that defined many generations of air travel and support.
