The East Texas Weekend Preview — A key establishment of the Tyler, TX community, centered on fun and education, is reopening its doors in a brand new space!
On Tuesday, November 4th, the Brookshire’s Wildlife Museum will be welcoming in guests once again.
Explore a huge variety of exhibits, filled with one-of-a-kind treasures and totally interactive experiences.
As you walk in the front doors you are met by a remarkable recreation of what the first Brookshire’s stores would have looked and felt like. It’s as if you were stepping into a time machine with all of the 1930’s and 40’s goods and groceries on display. With so much to see and do in this space, you and the family will have an absolute blast!
The rest of the museum focuses on a joyful passion of Mr. and Mrs. Brookshire, the animal kingdom.

Transverse through incredibly designed rooms, highlighting the wildlife and landscape of environments from all across the planet.
From ferocious lions to docile deer, these totally immersive landscapes host a wide variety of species to admire and learn about. You will find informative plaques, and even a few interactive digital displays, describing each creature here.
Our favorite room was the artic scene, complete with powerful polar bears, happy penguins and curious seals. Plus! On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, be sure to look from the Fresh parking lot for a special surprise peaking out the window. (This is just one of the fun mysteries to discover that the Brookshire’s Wildlife Museum has in store for visitors!)
The grand reopening is happening Tuesday, November 4th at 9am. Their weekly hours are 9am-3pm, Tuesday-Friday. And 9am-5pm on Saturdays.
And best of all, admission is totally FREE!
