R.G. LeTourneau Museum
The East Texas Weekend Preview — Known as a pioneer for revolutionary machine design and a committed man of faith, R.G. LeTourneau’s legacy has been truly impactful to East Texas and the entire world as a whole.
From massive earthmoving vehicles to mobile sea platforms, R.G.’s inventions knew no bounds. Logging and oil industries didn’t just benefit from his creations but so did the Allies in World War II, utilizing many of his works to help win the war.
With all of his success, R.G. was explicit about his love for the Lord. Noting that his existence was not to simply advance industries, rather glorify God. Alongside his daily work, R.G. consistently ministered to his fellow employees and led incredible efforts in bringing the Gospel to the ends of the Earth.
Today, you can visit this micro-museum in the heart of the LeTourneau campus, the university founded by R.G. himself, that shares his entire legacy in great detail.
Admire cases of personal items, models of R.G.’s many wonderous creations, like the impressive LeTourneau Domes, and plenty of literature that highlights his faith in Christ.

As you arrive, check out the incredible statue of R.G. himself, surrounded by a few of his marvelous heavy earthmoving builds. Just across from this area you will find the remarkable resting places of both R.G. and his wife Evelyn.
This weekend discover the man, that is so well described by the title of his autobiography, that “Moved Men & Mountains.”
