Viatorum Guest Recital

Join guest group Viatorum for a wonderful recital hosted here at UT Tyler! Viatorum’s program, “Prisms of the Bosporus,” is an exploration of music from, and refracted through the lens of, the nexus of East and West. They will be performing engaging repertoire by composers from Greece, Macedonia, Iraq, Spain, Türkiye, and the USA.

Five Marshall community sites have partnered to host a Homeschool Discovery Day, offering free, hands-on activities designed especially for the homeschool community. Homeschool Discovery Day is a collaborative event bringing together five Marshall, Texas sites to offer a day of free educational activities for homeschool families. Participants are invited to explore each location at their own pace while enjoying hands-on learning experiences designed to engage students of all ages.

Princess Bride Live Cast

Join us at Liberty Hall for the shadow cast production of Princess Bride! What’s a shadow cast? It’s like movie night—but way cooler! Pilates & Praise

Get ready to have an amazing morning with Power, Praise, Pilates and great fellowship. Class starts at 8am and ends at 9am with fellowship, prayer, shopping, and refreshments after. Each class slot comes with a Glow drink. Make sure to bring a yoga mat but we will have some for purchase at class. This is a mommy friendly zone so if you are a mom with an infant who can be in a stroller next to you or in a baby sling you are more than welcome to bring your bundles of joy. Seedling Giveaway

The free Tree Seedling Giveaway will take place Saturday, Feb. 7 where 2,000 tree seedlings will be handed out by the Tyler Trees Committee at the CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances South Tyler location. The species include shumard oak, pecan, and common persimmon. This species list could change depending on availability.
Ice Cream for Breakfast

Calling aspiring and experienced writers of East Texas! Join us at Crazy Four Books & Coffee for our monthly Writers Club, where creativity meets community. Enjoy free coffee & baked snacks while you spend time working on your craft.
Kid Fish Day
- When: 9am-12pm
- Where: Mineola Nature Preserve
Anglers are encouraged to bring a light-action rod and reel combo with small fishing hooks, light line (12 lb. test or less), small bobbers and small split shot, and bait to take a chance at catching some of the 1000 rainbow trout that will be stocked by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the City of Mineola. Whole kernel corn, salmon eggs, marshmallows, small worms, Berkley power bait, and small spinners are generally the favorite baits for trout. If you don’t have fishing gear, volunteers from the local area and TPWD will be on hand to help with fishing and to provide loaner rod and reels and some bait.
Dutch Oven Cooking & Tasting

- Where: Daingerfield State Park
Join the Little Pine Friends of Daingerfield State Park to learn how to cook in a Dutch oven and sample some of their delicious dishes! Accessibility: Parking will be available at our Dining Hall/Day Use Areas. Restroom is available near park store. Drinking water is available nearby. Path to program is pavement and mowed grass. Program Expectations: Are you interested in learning how to cook with a Dutch oven? Bring the family and join in on the fun! Bring your own equipment or borrow some from the group (while supplies last).

America’s 250th Exhibit & American Revolutionary War Experience

Mark your calendars! The library will be host to a variety of fun and informative activities focusing on our country celebrating our 250th anniversary. This is an all ages event that will include story telling, crafts, refreshments, “how to” presentations such as rope making, and more!In addition to the February 7th event, the library will have the 250th display for all to see for nearly 2 weeks. Opening Reception of Frank Armstrong: A retrospective

Frank Armstrong is a native Texan, born in Henderson in 1935, and has been photographing the American landscape for more than 60 years. Traveling back roads and small towns across the U.S., he captures iconic yet often overlooked moments that reflect a slower pace of life and invite thoughtful reflection. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Armstrong taught photography at UT Austin, Clark University, and in workshops throughout the West and Southwest. His work is included in major collections such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; the Amon Carter Museum; and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
