Wolf Creek Lake
The East Texas Weekend Preview — Last year, we caught wind of a real waterfall here in East Texas from our social media followers. With so many sharing photos and stories from their trips over the decades.
So naturally, we decided to check it out! (See our first adventure, here.) The views were absolutely stunning. However, the time we visited was during a very dry season so there was almost no water moving, at all.
Fast forward to 2026! With some consistent rain coming down, we decided to hit the road again to check out this incredible water feature.
To our joy, this massive cliff was flowing! The roars of the gallons upon gallons of water falling into the deep pool could be heard well outside of the woods!
We could have sat there for hours, admiring this tranquil nature spot within the pines.

*The waterfall can be found on the West side of the park. Access to it is a little ambiguous. If you decide to visit, be sure to proceed with safety, be obedient to signage and respect the wildlife in the area.
