The East Texas Weekend Preview — Corsicana, TX has been home to many influential figures throughout its long history.
From passionate entrepreneurs to life-saving heroes, this town is no stranger to remarkable people.
To honor these folks, life-sized bronze statues have been constructed throughout the city.
Today, you can take the Bronze Tour! A 19-stop adventure highlighting the citizens who have helped make Corsicana so great.
Our favorite statue was the Wolf Brand Chili piece! This giant steel can highlights the story of Lyman Davis, inventor of Wolf Brand Chili. At 12yrs old, Lyman sold his own recipe in the exact spot of the statue. What’s super fascinating is the life-like statue of a wolf on top of the can that resembles Kaiser Bill, Lyman’s actual pet wolf!

Another one that’s a must-see is that statue of Jimmy Grimmett, one of the longest tenured employees of the iconic Collin Street Bakery. Known as the ‘fruitcake capital of the world’, Corsicana’s fame grew with the presence of this beloved bakery. With his outstretched hand, offering a delicious piece of cake, Jimmy encapsulates the spirit of service and joy that’s so common in this community.
Each and every one of these bronze statues is made with such talent and accuracy. You will have an absolute blast discovering each one!
