Kite Festival

How Big is the Earth?

Learn how we figured out how big the earth was thousands of years ago and then put it to the test! The Spring equinox presents a unique opportunity, with the sun directly above the equator we can measure the earth using shadows and ancient science and geometry.

Movie Night: The Alamo

  • Where: Nacogdoches Public Library

Join us in honoring Texas History Month with a movie night at the library! Popcorn and drinks are on us. This movie is rated PG-13. Based on the 1836 standoff between a group of Texan and Tejano men, led by Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie, and Mexican dictator Santa Anna’s forces at the Alamo in San Antonio Texas. Staring Dennis Quaid and Billy Bob Thornton.

The Journey HQ Dogwood Fest Car Show

Join us during the Dogwood Festival for a full day of cool rides, great people, and tons of giveaways in downtown Palestine, Texas.

88th Annual Dogwood Festival

  • Where: Downtown Palestine

The 88th Annual Dogwood Festival is the longest running Dogwood Festival in the state of Texas and is held in the charming Historic Downtown and Old Town district of Palestine, Texas. The Festival kicks off the first of three weekends of the city’s Dogwood Trails Celebration with locals and guests celebrating the season of beautiful Dogwood blooms of East Texas. Live music, art, specialty products, food vendors, kids activities and more will fill the city the third weekend in March!!

Kids Market @ Nacogdoches Farmers Market

49th Annual LaTourneau Car Show

Gates open at 9:00 AM for exhibitor check-in, the show runs 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, and awards will be presented at 2:00 PM. Entry is $25 per car, and anyone who registers ahead receives a free event t-shirt. Handmade trophies will be awarded to winners of each class. We’re welcoming sports cars, customs, hot rods, antiques, trucks, JDM, Euro, motorcycles, and more, with all proceeds going to missions.

Azalea Arts & Crafts Fair 2026

  • When: 9am-5pm
  • Where: Bergfeld Park, Tyler

This vibrant event will feature over 70 booths showcasing a wide variety of handcrafted items, including jewelry, pottery, crocheted items, candles, baked goods, and much more. Whether you’re looking for unique gifts, home decor, or handmade treasures, this fair has something for everyone! The fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free to the public, and there will be food trucks available for a fee. Enjoy live entertainment both days, with local choirs, dance schools, and bands performing throughout the event.

Shamrocks & Shenanigans 2026

Tyler Blooms - Art Show & Sale

Pioneer Must-Haves

  • Where: Mission Tejas State Park, Grapeland

Come to Mission Tejas for a game and hike on the essentials every pioneer and camper needs out on the trail. Join us for a fun program that combines history, nature and chance! We will be playing a game of “Pioneer Essentials” and take a hike afterwards to see if your character has the equipment to have a quick and easy journey down the historic El Camino Real! The hike is an easy hike a little over a mile long on easy walking terrain. Make sure to bring appropriate hiking shoes, water and insect repellant! We will be meeting at the Mission.

Lord of the Rings - Mordor Map Challenge

Hickory Hill Springfest

  • Where: Music City Texas Theater, Linden

We want to invite you to our upcoming “Springfest” concert at Music City Texas Theater in Linden on March 21. This date is the first day of spring in 2026, so we guess we should call it our Spring Concert this time! We have also decided to make the show a matinee, so the concert will start at 3 PM, and will last about an hour and a half. This will allow everyone who has a distance to drive to get home at a decent hour, and since daylight savings time will have sprung forward already, enough time to stop for a nice meal or some sightseeing on the way. This schedule will also allow us plenty of time to visit with everyone after the concert without having to be in a rush to get on the road. So please plan to stay a while afterwards and visit with us and others if you would like to! We will be playing many of our most requested songs as well as some new ones, and some oldies but goodies from the past. 2026 Family Ranch Rodeo
