The East Texas Weekend Preview — While there are many spots around East Texas where you can embark on a thrifting adventure, this Mineola establishment offers a way for visitors to support a great cause while they shop.
The APET Thrift Store is a part of the Animal Preservation of East Texas. This local nonprofit organization is committed to aid in the reduction of abandoned dogs and cats in Wood County.
To help fund their rehoming program and animal shelter, they opened up their very own thrift store near downtown Mineola.
Inside you will find all sorts of treasures! One-of-a-kind furniture pieces, unique works of art and practical household supplies are just the tip of the iceberg at this local thrift store. We had a blast sifting through their large collection of old-school books and coffee mugs.
As you explore, you will even find a wide variety of pet-related items. Score some high-quality leashes and harnesses for a fraction of what they normally cost. It’s a great place to visit if you are looking to home a new cat or dog.
