Wildest Sculpture in the Piney Woods

Wildman Statue Trinity, TX

Wildman Statue

The East Texas Weekend Preview — 22ft tall, glowing red eyes and covered in thousands of spikes.

Have you seen him? The WILDMAN!

Located at the corner of Emory Street and Pegoda Road in Trinity, lies one of the most fascinating sculptures in all of East Texas.

From the mind of artist, Jim Robertson, the Wildman Statue has captivated locals and travelers alike for decades.

Although it resembles the popular horror mascot, ‘Pinhead’, from the Hellraiser movie franchise, the Wildman shares zero influences from the sort. Actually, Robertson was inspired by a 18th century, Germanic body suit that used to wrestle bears!

With over 1,400 railroad spikes, this giant metal man brings such unique flair to the town. If you get the chance, be sure to swing by at night to see his massive eyes glow bright red!

Add a pitstop to this roadside attraction during your next adventure into deep East Texas!

The Wildman Statue can be found at: 250 Pegoda Rd, Trinity, TX 75862
