Rose Fountain
The East Texas Weekend Preview — If you have ever lived in East Texas, you know how each community can capture your heart in such a special way.
Wills Point, TX is no different.
With its rich heritage, beautiful brick streets and friendly folks, this local city has everything it needs to be truly remarkable.
One man in particular, who fell in love this town, was Isaac Edward “Ike” Rose.
Ike served has the co-owner of Rose Dry Goods Store, with his brother B.W., in the 1870’s. Later, Ike would go on to pursue many entrepreneur efforts in the Dallas area towards the later years of his life.

Yet, he never forgot Wills Point.
In 1916, Ike would show his affection for the town by donating a stunning, brightly colored fountain that would be placed in the center of downtown.
Today, this landmark is known as the Rose Fountain. And it’s very hard to miss. Smack dab in the middle of 4th Street, this prized fountain still sits. Although there is no water flowing anymore, you can still enjoy an up close look at this towering, near 15ft structure.
This weekend, make a little pitstop at this heartfelt gift to the city of Wills Point.
The Rose Fountain can be found at: 100 N 4th St, Wills Point, TX 75169
