Brushy Creek Arbor
The East Texas Weekend Preview — Hymns were sung, sermons were preached and congregations of Christians met here for generations.
Brushy Creek Arbor, also known as, the Anderson Campground, is a religious gathering spot on the outskirts of Palestine.
Originally constructed in the 1870’s, frequent revivals and celebrations occurred here up until the 1930’s.
Today, the structure still proudly stands and welcomes travels to come experience the tranquil scene here in the piney woods.
Enjoy a quiet morning as you tour the old pews and wooden tabernacle. You can just imagine all of the fervent prayer and praise that occurred underneath this wooden, tent-like structure.
