The East Texas Oil Museum at Kilgore College will reopen Wednesday, Jan. 23, after renovations to upgrade the facility.
The museum was closed mid-November to receive an overall facelift and exhibit upgrades.
“Visitors are encouraged to see the fresh, new look of the museum,” said Jackie Reynolds, ETOM manager. “We are excited for our visitors to step back in time and relive an authentic recreation of oil discovery and production in the early 1930s.”
The East Texas Oil Museum is located at 1301 S. Henderson Blvd. (corner of Hwy. 259 and Ross Ave.) on the Kilgore College campus.
The museum is open from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Wednesdays – Saturdays.
Admission into the museum is $8 for adults, $5 for children 3-11 and Kilgore College students & employees. Children under 3 get in for free.
