El Coco Loko: The 'paletería y nevería' destination in East Texas!
Roughly 5 years ago, El Coco Loko opened their doors in Lufkin, bringing the city the authentic taste of Mexico in the form of delicious, flavor-packed treats. Since then, they’ve expanded to a second location in Nacogdoches.
We sat down with owner Jessie Duron to break down what makes El Coco Loko special. And what it boils down to: flavor. Two staple ingredients inside the walls are Tajín and Chamoy. And trust us, once they’re both on top of your fruit, you’ll wonder how you ever had fruit without it.
The menu ranges from fruit cups, to mangonadas to elotes to banana splits and includes everything in between.
Their Lufkin location is located at 1422 North Timberland.
They’re open from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. every day.
Their Nacogdoches location is located at 930 South Street.
They’re open from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday – Friday.
