With Fathers day coming up why not take your dad on a camping trip. A camping trip would allow you to get some quality time with your old man and experience the great outdoors. To ensure you have the perfect camping trip, we have a list of essential supplies that will make your get-away all the better.
The first thing you will need is a tent. Depending on how many people you plan on camping with, will dictate what size tent you need. You don’t have to break the bank either. You can buy a tent as low as thirty dollars.
Next, you will need sleeping bags, this is optional but if you want to make your camping experience a little more cozy grab a sleeping bag to sleep inside your tent.
Unless you want to sit on the dirt ground or on hard logs bring some chairs and a picnic table. Now you have a place to sit down with your dad and enjoy some hotdogs and hamburgers.
It gets pretty dark in the woods so you want to make sure you bring a flashlight or lantern. A lantern can come in handy for those late-night restroom breaks, you want to make sure you can see where you are going.
Now if you love toasty marshmallows as much as we do, make sure you have a fire starter kit to make a lot of delicious smores. Unless you want to put your scout skills to the ultimate test.
You are sure to get thirsty staying in the great outdoors for a night or two, so make sure to bring a canteen and a water filter.
Plus bring Toilet Paper! As much as you think you need.
Lastly safety first! If your hiking or canoeing bring a first aid kit. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
Now those are the essentials but you may also want to pack along these items:
