The holiday season is a perfect time to curl up with a good book and reading is obviously one of Half Price Book’s favorite pastimes. So they’re sharing the love of reading with others for Booksgiving Day!
Before we all celebrate Thanksgiving next week, all Half Price Books locations will be celebrating their own holiday.
Booksgiving Day is happening this Saturday, November 23rd.
In it’s seventh year, Half Price Books will celebrate Booksgiving Day with a special story time at 2 p.m. local time.
All children who attend will receive a free children’s books to take home with them while supplies last. The Books given away are part of Half Price Books’ Million Book Donation Project.
In 2017, Half Price Books celebrated their 45th anniversary of buying and selling books, music, movies and more by giving back. In keeping with their founder Ken Gjemre’s saying that “Books should fill our lives, not our land,” Half Price Books pledged to donate 1 million books in 2017 through the Million Book Donation Project.
