KFC jumps into the chicken sandwich war with what it calls the “Best Chicken Sandwich Ever.”

The new sandwich replaces the Crispy Colonel Sandwich and features a quarter pound of double breaded, extra crispy all white meat on a toasted brioche bun with pickles and mayonnaise. You can also get it with spicy sauce.

The new sandwich costs just under four bucks, or $6.99 for the combo.

KFC is joining into the chicken sandwich battle, against offerings from Popeye’s, McDonald’s and Chick-Fil-A.

The new sandwich was tested for about a year in the Orlando market. It hit select markets on Thursday, January 7, before expanding to all four thousand locations by the end of February.
