Red, White & Blue Brownies

Just in time for Memorial Day

Let’s get hyped up for the good ol’ USA! These red, white and blue brownies pack enough sugar to help just about anyone bounce off the walls.


1 c. white chocolate chips

½ c. butter

1 large egg

1 can sweetened condensed milk

¼ tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla extract (clear preferred)

1 ½ c. flour

1½ tsp. Red Soda Syrup (see below)

1½ tsp. Blue Soda Syrup (see below)

Red & blue food coloring


In a medium sized bowl, microwave white chocolate chips and butter for 30 seconds at a time until melted. Add condensed milk, salt, vanilla extract and egg. Mix well. Transfer to large bowl and mix in flour. Separate mixture into three equal portions. Add red soda syrup to one portion. Add blue soda syrup to a different portion. Mix well. Add ½ c. flour to each bowl and fold in.

Preheat oven to 375°. Grease an 8″ x 8″ cake pan. Add blue soda mixture to bottom of pan. Spread evenly. On top of the blue, add white cake batter and spread evenly. On top of the white layer, add the red soda mixture. Spread evenly.

Bake for 25 minutes until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Let the Red, White and Blue Brownies cool completely before serving.


½ c. soda (we used Mountain Dew Code Red and Blue Fanta Berry)

1 c. sugar

¼ c. light corn syrup


In a small saucepan, combine red soda, sugar and corn syrup. and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Heat on medium to medium-high heat. Insert candy thermometer and let boil until the temperature reaches 235°. Remove from heat and pour syrup into a container that can take the heat. Clean out and pan and repeat for the blue color.
