Texas Shakespeare Festival set for June 28 through July 29

The Texas Shakespeare Festival will open its 33rd season at Kilgore College on Thursday, June 28, in Van Cliburn Auditorium.

This year’s plays include:

  •  “Love’s Labour’s Lost” by William Shakespeare; directed by Matthew Simpson
  • “Tartuffe” by Molière; directed by George Judy
  • “King John” by William Shakespeare; directed by James Dean Palmer
  •  “110 in the Shade” (musical) Book by N. Richard Nash, lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt; directed by Meaghan Simpson
  •  “The Belle of Amherst” by William Luce featuring Jennifer Burke; directed by Raymond Caldwell
  • “The Lovely Step-Sister” (children’s show), written and directed by Grace Abele

The TSF will run through July 29.

The box office, located in the Anne Dean Turk Fine Arts Building, is open 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. The box office is closed on Mondays.
