What better way to get in the holiday spirit than driving around East Texas and looking at Christmas Lights? Each year different parts of our state come to live to help you and your family create some magical memories. So grab your loved ones & hot cocoa and hop in your car and head to one (or all) of these Christmas Light displays!
Open Now – January 4th
Santa Land is a drive through 24-acre Christmas light park in East Texas with over 2.5 million lights. And Santa is in Santa Land through December 24th. He arrives at 6 p.m. every night and stays until 10 p.m. Driving through Santa Land is $25 per car. Visit Santa Land on Facebook here.
Wonderland of Lights
Open Now – December 31st
Make your holiday magical with a trip to the annual celebration of Marshall’s famed Wonderland of Lights! Millions of white lights illuminate the historic Harrison County Courthouse as downtown Marshall is transformed into a Winter Wonderland. Bundle up and enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride through Historic Downtown Marshall, grab dinner with family, and shop for treasures in local shops.
Carmela's Mini Santa Land
Open Now – January 3rd
Carmela’s Mini Santa Land started years ago for the Gregg County community, and it’s grown into one of the largest free Christmas Light displays in East Texas. There are nearly 4 million lights, dancing trees, nativity scenes, micky mouse and more. They open at 5:30 nightly and stay open until 10 or 11.
Land of Lights Christmas Park
Open Now – January 3rd
The Christmas Park Land of Lights is a drive-thru Christmas light park located in Athens, Texas. The Christmas Park Land of Lights, family owned and operated, is a wonderland of lights, music, and holiday cheer. The park is more than 1 mile long and has over 4 million lights, including more than 60 different musical scenes and 50 motion controlled lighted scenes in addition to 6 tunnels and 14 arches, and 2000 wood cutouts.. $25 for family vehicles. Winter Wonderland Drive-Thru
Open Now – December 23rd
The 2nd annual Winter Wonderland Drive-Thru at the Angelina County Farmers Market is all set up in Lufkin, and this year there are more Christmas lights and decorations than before. The event is free, but donations are welcome. The drive-thru is open every night from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., or the last car enters.
Christmas Playland at Yesterland Farm
Open Now – December 13
Beginning November 27, admission into the farm is FREE and includes access to pre-harvested trees, Animal Town, shopping in Dixie General Store, the Hog Wild Grill and visits to Santa in Twister Town! For Christmas Playland admission, you can get access to a Christmas decorated corn maze, photo ops, a Christmas decorated wagon ride, amusement park rides and farm attractions.
Azalea Trail of Lights
December 1st – December 31st
You’ve seen the colors of the Azalea District in the spring; now see the District come to life with color once again during the holiday season! Throughout December, take a self-guided driving or walking tour through the Azalea District, and enjoy the beautiful historic homes dressed up for the season!
