There’s a new stamp in honor of Hanukkah available now from the USPS

The United States Postal Service is honoring Hanukkah this year with a new stamp!

The stamp shows a colorful image of an adult placing a lit candle in a nine-branched menorah while a child watches on. Art director Ethel Kessler designed the stamp with original art by Tsong.

“This new Hanukkah stamp illustrates the lighting of the hanukiah on the last evening of the holiday,” said USPS Controller and Vice President Cara Greene in a press release. “All eight of the Hanukkah candles have been lit, and the child is reaching up to replace the shamashthe helper candle used to light the others in the menorah.”

The stamp is available nationwide now in a pane of 20 as a Forever stamp.

Hanukkah begins on the evening of December 10, 2020.
