Please join the Nacogdoches Medical Center to make time for your mammogram and have a little, fun, too.

Mega Job Fest 2019

Mark your calendar to attend this big event! At the Mega Job Fest, they’ll be connecting job seekers with industry-specific work experience or training with employers in those industries. Four in-demand industry sectors are involved: 1. Health Care & Education 2. Manufacturing, Transportation & Warehousing 3. Retail & Hospitality 4. Pooches on the Patio

It’ll be a pawsome evening on the patio at Andy’s! Bring your furry friend and enjoy delicious treats while also helping out animals in need! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the SPCA of East Texas.
The Northeast Public Health District requires that all attending dogs be current on vaccinations and wear a current rabies tag. Also, we ask that all puppies under one year of age in attendance be fully vaccinated.To help ensure all pooches will be on their best behavior, please refrain from bringing your unaltered pets to this event.

The Cultivate Leadership Conference 2019  is happening at Life Church in Tyler, TX! Gallery Main Street 10 Year Anniversary Exhibit

East Texas Open Jiu Jitsu Grappling Tournament

Chad Decker and Jeff Hammond will host an East Texas Open Jiu Jitsu Grappling Tournament for kids and adults at the Longview Exhibit Building on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. Rules meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m., and matches will begin immediately afterwards. Admission at the door is $10 for adults, children are free.

Movies in the Park: Monsters University

Get ready to go back to school with everyone’s favorite monsters, Mike and Sully! Monsters University rolls into Diboll’s Old Orchard park August 17- movie starts at sundown. The movie is absolutely FREE, and there is some seating on park bleachers. Bring blankets or lawn chairs if you’d like! Concessions will be available, or you are welcome to bring food for your family. In case of bad weather, an alternate location will be announced on the T.L.L. Temple Memorial Library’s Facebook page.

Rock & Roll Saturday at TJC 

On the third Saturday of every month, TJC’s science center turns the planetarium LOUD with Rock and Roll Saturday! They will present “SpacePark360” at 7 p.m. and “Rock on Demand” at 8 p.m. Musical selections and graphic images will vary month to month. “SpacePark360” takes audiences on a wild, immersive ride through the solar system, recreating the experience of amusement park thrill rides – roller coasters, pendulums, inverters and more. Seen from the rider’s perspective, “SpacePark360” combines full-dome technology with thrill rides to create a heart-pounding experience. “Rock on Demand” fills the entire 40-foot domed theater with vibrant graphics, completely enveloping visitors in a 360-degree view while the 16,000-watt, digital surround sound system plays rock hits ranging from the Beatles and Rolling Stones to The Doors and Aerosmith. Tickets are $5 per show

A Magic Mike Experience

Red Bull Saloon Private Club and the former producers of Chippendales is presenting the Men Next Door A Magic Mic Experience. This show is two hours long packed with choreographed costume acts and interaction with the audience. It is a huge novelty and will sell out, so buy your tickets ASAP before they do! ‘Floating Life: Mississippi River Drawings by Liz Ward’

  • When: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Where: Tyler Museum of Art, Tyler
  • Cost: $5 for adults, free for students and children

Organized by the Tyler Museum of Art, “Floating Life” is the first large-scale museum exhibition of Mississippi River works by San Antonio artist Liz Ward. The show is open to the public through August 25th in the Museum’s North Gallery. The exhibition spotlights pieces from two recent bodies of work: “Ghosts of the Old Mississippi” and “Veritas Caput.” The works from Ghosts of the Old Mississippi are based on geological maps of the river’s ancient courses and inspired by the artist’s childhood memories from South Louisiana. Pieces from Veritas Caput focus on the search for the source of the river by various explorers.

‘Books, Books & More Books: Works by MANUAL’

  • When: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Where: Tyler Museum of Art, Tyler
  • Cost: $5 for adults, free for students and children

The Tyler Museum of Art is embarking on another historic collaboration with a fellow Smith County nonprofit while exploring the printed word as a work of art in its next major exhibition, Books, Books & More Books: Works by MANUAL, presented in collaboration with Literacy Council of Tyler. Organized by the TMA and curated by Caleb Bell, Books, Books & More Books spotlights a series of photographic works from the ongoing Book Project by MANUAL, the artistic collaboration of Suzanne Bloom and Ed Hill that began in 1974.
