Movie Night: The Lego Movie: The Second Part

SFA presents ‘Given’

The Stephen F. Austin State University School of Art and the Friends of the Visual Arts will present a free, one-night screening of the documentary “Given” at 7 p.m. Friday, July 12, in The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House in downtown Nacogdoches. Told through the visceral experience of a 6-year-old, “Given” follows legendary surfers Aamion and Daize Goodwin from their island home of Kauai through 15 different countries in the quest for surf and to fulfill a calling handed down through generations.

Live Music at Landon Winery

  • When: 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • Where: Landon Winery, Greenville

Texas A&M Yell Leader Event

Join the Smith-County A&M Club and Tyler A&M Mother’s Club at the 2019-2020 Yell Leaders Event! Enjoy pizza and drinks, get cooled off in the water and have a yell practice to get geared up for the fall! This is a family-friendly, free event so mark your calendars!

2nd Annual ‘Hit the Bricks’ Car Show

Second Saturdays on the Square in Mount Vernon

  • When: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Where: Downtown Mount Vernon
  • Cost: Free

The Second Saturdays on the Square event series features an expanded market that includes additional artisan and food vendors, live entertainment and family-friendly activities. Many downtown businesses offer specials for market shoppers, you might see a local organization featuring a fundraiser, and our historic museums are open with free admission. After shopping at the market, take some time to visit the nearby specialty shops and restaurants in their downtown Plaza District!

Christmas in July at the Marshall Depot

Support local vendors and get an early start on Christmas shopping at the Texas and Pacific Railway Depot in Marshall. There will be plenty of shopping, kids activities and a visit from Santa!

Great American Food and Arts Fair

The 10th Annual Great American Food and Arts Fair takes place on July 13-14 at Harvey Convention Center. There will be fun entertainment and a culinary contest.

Longview Jaycees Trade Days

Shop around at the monthly Longview Jaycees Trade Days. There will be vendors of all kinds from all over.

Faulkner Skate Park Grand Opening

  • When: 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
  • Where: Faulkner Park, Tyler
  • Cost: Free

Save the date! Join the city of Tyler on Saturday, July 13 at 10 a.m. to celebrate the grand opening of the Faulkner Skate Park with the City of Tyler’s Parks and Recreation Department. This new skate park located on Faulkner Park, 410 Cumberland Rd., will be Phase 1 of a bigger project that will eventually replace the deteriorating Noble E. Young skate park and become a regional hub for skaters.

Cherokee Craft & Trade Fair

Artisans, crafters, and a variety of other great vendors. We will have entertainment throughout the day, including music, a surprise guest & drawings throughout the day. Please bring 1 can good or $1 for entry to be donated to the HOPE Pantry.

Unicorn Tea Party

Unicorns are out-of-this-world and we’ll celebrate them with crafts and sweet treats. Feel free to bust out your sparkliest costume to join us! Ages 10-19 years.

Summer Concert Series in Old Town Palestine 

The summer will be hot but the Oxbow Hollow in Palestine will be cool with the eclectic sounds of The Magills. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Music begins at 6:00 pm. Picnic baskets are welcomed, but no outside alcohol is permitted.

Beer Girl Party!

Join True Vine Brewing Company on Saturday night, July 13th as they celebrate ladies who love craft beer! Whether you work in the industry or are just a fan of great craft beer, they want to celebrate all you Beer Girls out there by throwing an epic summer dance party under the True Vine pavilion. They will have swag to give away, drink specials for all you Beer Girls, Sola Bread Co. special menu items, and DJ Mr. G spinning all the best dance music from 7-10 PM! So get your girls together and head out to celebrate!
