Toast-Yay! There’s a new Girl Scout cookie coming in 2021

Girl Scouts across the nation are kicking off a countdown to their 2021 Girl Scout Cookie season with the announcement of a new cookie in select areas: Toast-Yay!™.

The new Toast-Yay!™ cookie is described as a a French toast–inspired cookie dipped in delicious icing and full of flavor in every bite.

The new cookie is even shaped like a piece of toast, and it’s stamped with the Girl Scout trefoil on the top. Click here to check out their nutrition facts.

Toast-Yay!™ cookies will only be available in select markets, so you will have to check with your local council for more information.

From what we gathered, it looks like 3 of the 8 councils in Texas will be selling the cookie. Those include the Girl Scouts of Central Texas, Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas and the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council.

Here’s a list of all of the Girl Scout councils in Texas:

Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the recent 2020 cookie season looked a little different. The biggest change was the creation of the online platform, Girl Scouts Cookie Care, which let customers order cookies for delivery online.

In the 2021 season, Girl Scouts will again embrace their entrepreneurial spirit by selling cookies through online platforms and innovative “virtual cookie booths” on social media (with parental supervision), according to gsblog. Many girls will offer socially distant or contactless sales and delivery options. If local guidelines allow and it’s safe to do so, in-person sales may also be available in certain areas.

Although the start of cookie season is recognized nationally in January, timing and product availability varies locally, so contact your local council for more information about sale dates and specific cookie availability.
